Dang this is some brute! It's awesome to see how many effects you achieve with these simple shapes and brushes. I especially like the part where the panel division gets all crazy and you use this awesome shaking effect. This comic has some serious action to it and it's fucking awesome.

Milkynyay responds:

Thanks you, your critic goes straight to the heart! You're confirming I may achieve my goals when drawing and well share those stories!

This pixel art looks so great! Love how much shading you were able to do with such a limited palette and only one dithering pattern. I do notice some jaggies on the bottom of the door (if that's the right terminology). Great stuff! this looks really great.

MattGatsu responds:

Thank you! Yeah, sorry about them, but I couldn't do much about it without screwing up the perspective entirely, or make the car look bent. I'd rather end up with a single jaggy than a awkward-ish piece if that makes any sense.

Hey this looks awesome! That fire animation looks awesome. The shading on Doomguy is on point and I like how it changes with the fire. I can only nitpick the few frames where he puts his arms up. The smear happens a bit too slow and ends up looking a bit weird. Shoud've probably just been a 1-frame effect. But really good stuff!

SanderVB responds:

Thanks for both the compliment and the constructive feedback! I'll try it out with a shortened transition, see how it looks. :)

I like it but I have some problems, mainly regarding clarity. I'm not sure what's happening in the 7th panel and it took me a while to recognize the cross hair in the third and fourth panel (the prongs should've also been black). Though I like the style, I think you're limiting yourself a bit too much by using so little color. it really makes it hard separate the foreground from the background sometimes. Not quite sure what's going on with the kids head. The characters look a tad flat in general. That being said I really like the panel with the man and horse being shot. it's a good clear silhouette and the color adds a lot.

YOGB responds:

Oh Thanks dude for the advice, I try to make it clear but sometimes I let myself go a bit too deep into nonsense

This is your warm up? This looks fucking awesome! Don't quite now what's going on on the lower left but that pattern on the skull looks so cool! Really great work.

ibdinosaur responds:

Thanks! The whole thing is he gets skinned so I was trying to show that but I had like, ten minutes to do it so yeah.

These characters got so much personality to them. I especially love the dog. The cat could use some bigger ears though. Great stuff!

atomicomium responds:

Thanks!!! :D

Dang, the lines on the face are so damn smooth! The body seems to have less attention to it though. Probably intentional, but still a bit too boxy for my liking. Great stuff though!

anewworldfool responds:

Tysm!! The lines are just done with a regular old calligraphy brush lol, ty again though for the feedback!!!!

Style looks great! I especially like the bart, ronald and the person in the middle. proportions for the mouth seem a tiny bit off but other than that it looks really nice!

Ursulula responds:

Thank you i take note !

Looks really cool but there seems to be really strange compression/scaling artifacts on this.
Still great stuff though. Just something to maybe look out for in the future.

Cromwell300 responds:

Thanks for the advice!

This looks sick! The contrast and color on this is awesome. The shading is especially great on the metal parts!

SuccubusClock responds:

Thanks!

I wish art was fun
